Night time regimen

I've been searching for face, body and hair products containing few ingredients and researching each time I decide to test them out. I keep hearing about how different types of clay can be of multipurpose use, clarifying for your hair, face wash/ mask and even toothpaste. I have begun to use Now solutions Red Clay (Red Moroccan Clay, Ghassoul Clay, Oxide Clay) as a face wash and mask since 12/20/14. So far my face feels clean, smooth, and a little tight but it's honestly no residue feel afterwards. After all this is a non-foaming wash and its not suppose to strip you face of natural oils. Red clay among other clay's is good for sensitive skin, which I have. I also had oily skin at times but that has changed ever since I've decided to put oils on my face, currently using ACURE 100% Marula oil. I also have occasional breakouts and some face scaring from popping my zits but now my face has cleared up immensely. I wash my face once at night and make sure to hydrate with face oil afterwards (other good face oils: Sweet almond oil, Jojoba oil, Argan oil). Sometimes I add more face oil in the AM if needed. These are the steps on my face regimen.

NOTE: Never use metal when you are working with clay, this will take away from the good stuff in the clay.
You will need a plastic or wooden spoon and a glass or plastic bowl.
This is how much clay you will need for your face for a mask or face wash. Just add water and achieve a yogurt consistency. Then when you have taken all your makeup off with makeup remover or cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, you will do the next step.
This is the result of water added to the clay. Now to wash your face. TIP: I like to keep the water running on a low setting so I can rinse as I'm applying the clay so it will not set.
It can get a bit messy but it will wash right off, do not let dry.
Now you can either use a toner of your choice. You can use organic witch hazel or an apple cider vinegar with water rinse. Then add your moisturizer.

I will keep you all posted on my results, so far I'm liking the results.

Night time face regimen.

You will need a small plate, cotton pads, facial oil of your choice (organic or certain cooking oils)
*try to buy smooth cotton pads/ no texture.
My steps:
1. I first wash my hands.
2. I then use avocado oil as a makeup remover.
I place a generous amount of oil on a plate. With a cotton pad I then apply the avocado oil and begin removing my makeup.
3. After I have removed all my makeup, I then wash my face with SW Basic cleanser. This is a non foaming cleanser which I also apply with a cotton pad.  After I have applied my cleanser I then rinse my face and pat dry.
4.The last step is to apply the moisturizer of your choice. I use organic jojoba oil.

The result of using these products have been great and I'm complimented for having great skin. People that have known me for a while have seen the difference and ask for my secret and here it is.

Trying out at the moment.......

I just started to use a new moisturizer that is Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil.

So far so good. Face feels soooo soft and doesn't feel heavy on my skin. Absorbs quick, citrus smell, Lasts all day. I use in the morning and night. My face is combo but can get oily sometimes more than I would like it to, but mainly in my T zone area. With this product my face doesn't feel as greasy as it use to be with moisturizers.

Aubrey Sea Buckthorn leave-in conditioner. Light weight but smells not so great (like medicine), the smell doesn't stay in your hair. I really like that it makes my hair soft and smooth.

Depth hydrating shampoo
Reminds me of a clarifying shampoo but doesn't strip my hair. I like to air dry my hair. When dry, my hair looks sheen and soft.
Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion  and Hand Cream.  They both absorb quick and smell citrus/clean. There is no greasy feel to either of these and the lotion has helped little bumps I have fade away after 3 uses.

Avalon Organics Lemon Clarifying Shampoo. I love it so far! Smells like Lemon pretty much and  doesn't strip hair too much. Not too harsh.

Pureology EssentialRepair is a type of leave-in treatment that helps me give UV protection to my hair and smells clean and fresh all day. My hair is less frizzy as well when I am allowing my hair to air dry. This is an awesome product that you must try.

Why Organic??

Organic foods are those that are produced using environmentally sound methods that do not involve modern synthetic inputs such as pesticides and chemical fertilizers, do not contain genetically modified organisms, and are not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives.[1]

In other words no bad stuff on your face or inside that can make you sick. Keep the good and have none of the bad. Sounds good to me.

Daily Face Routine

  1. Wash my hands.
  2. Start with my Coalface by lathering it up and massage my face in circular motions.
  3. Then rinse my face and splash my organic apple cider vinegar with water in a bowl and use it all up.
  4. Finally rinse with regular water and tada I'm done.

I don't add any moisturizer unless I feel I need some and lately that hasn't been the case since I'm using the vinegar. Also my tinted moisturizer already has Organic Argan Oil so I don't need to add more. I also use Organic Argan Oil at night time for my moisturizer.

Don't forget to exfoliate or use a mask at least once a week with either Organic sugar and lemon or one of my soon to be fave. Its a two in one mask and exfoliate. Rainbow Research 100% Natural Green French Clay Powder Mask

which has wonderful different ways to use depending on your skin type. It tells you on the back the different ways you can blend with ingredients depending on your skin type. I like to use the powder with lemon juice and make into a paste and apply on a recently washed face and then let sit until dry. When dry rinse off then follow with a toner (Organic Apple Cider Vinegar) I alternate every week from a mask one week and then exfoliate the next week, never both on the same week because it can cause your skin to over dry. Always use SPF even though there's no sun. Don't forget the sun causes wrinkles and who likes that.

Things I mentioned:
Coalface http://www.lushusa.com
Organic Argan Oil and Apple Cider Vinegar is sold at many health food stores such as Whole Foods, Sprouts etc.
Rainbow Research French Clay Powder I bought at Whole Foods for about $3 with tax
